Black Background

I wanted to try to work with a black background to achieve results I've seen from other photographers. I still have plenty to learn. While some of these came out pretty good in b&w, in color I'd say I was not successful. The last picture I just decided to play with a b&w pic that had a touch of color.

Floating Baby?

Not sure I'm thrilled with this attempt at photoshopping this picture. Looks like she's floating. Thoughts?
